FREE TUTORIAL: MINNIE MOUSE INVITATION CARD

Hi, everyone!! Today I want to show you how to do this beautiful Minnie Mouse Birthday invitation. I hope you like it.

Step by step:
1.- Score with the Scoring table or tool, a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock of 8 3/4"x 8 1/2" (24.7cm x 24.1cm). Score lines (8 1/2" side) in 3" (7.6cm) and turn it (8 3/4" side)(24.7cm) and make the scores lines in 2 1/4" and 6 1/2" (5.7cm x 16.5cm).
2.- Look at the pattern or template in the pictures below.

3.-Fold all the score lines and cut out both corner at the bottom. As shown in the picture above.
4-Fold inward the 2 side lifts, but leave the bottom lift down and then fold upward onto the folded side lifts.
5.- Use a pencil and make a mark in the middle of the union of the three lifts. Make a mark with 1 lift on top of the other, then make the lift in the bottom be on top and make a mark there as well as a reference point for later.  Look at the picture above.
6.-After that, use a ruler and make a line from the score line inside to the point we had previously marked before. You need to do this step on both side as shown above and below.
7.-A piece of Cardstock should to look like the picture shown above.
8.- Use the 1" (2.5cm) Circle Punch and cut out 6 or 7 whisper white cardstock pieces.
9.-Put glue behind the white circle and glue them onto different places in the front of the card. As show in the picture above.
10.- Fold the card back to it's original closed form and put inside a Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (Perfect Polka Dots) and pass it through the Big Shot Machine.
11.-Take off tabs 1 and 2 before putting it through the Big Shot machine. Only use the clear acrylic tab with the folder.  As shown in the picture above.
12.- Open the folder and take out the cardstock piece.
13.- Your piece should look like the picture above.
14.- Put sticky strip on the inside of the bottom lift but only on three side. Look at the picture above.
15.- For the Minnie Mouse face you need to make in black cardstock the following circles: 2 pieces of 3/4" circle, half circle of 1 1/4" (3.2cm), one circle of 2 1/2" (6.4cm), 2 pieces of 1 3/4" (4.5cm), 2 little heart in melon mambo cardstock and 2 heart medium melon mambo cardstock. Look at the picture above.
16.- Cut a piece of Black cardstock of 1 1/4" x 4 1/4" (3.2cmx10.8cm) and put it in the middle of the front of the envelope. After that, use the Pinkk Passion Ribbon with white dots to go around the envelope. Make sure both extreme points of the ribbon meet in the middle of the front.  Later use dimensional glue on the back of the 2 1/2" (6.4cm) Black circle to cover the middle envelope where the ribbons meet. Then put the 1 3/4" (4.5cm) black circle in each side of the head (the ears). If you need to, cut a little piece from the bottom of the circle before you glue it on.  As shown above.
17.- Make a bow with the 2 hearts in cardstock Melon Mambo and put glue dots behind them.  As show in the picture above.
18.- To cover the hearts meeting, use a little Rhinestone in the middle of hearts.
19.- By now, you're envelope should look like mine.
20.-With the other circles make a little Mickey or Minnie Mouse hat as shown above and below.
21.- Put 2 little hearts in the middle of the hat if you choose to make Minnie or leave it as if you would prefer a Mickey.
22.- Like in the one above, put a mini Rhinestone to cover where the hearts meet.
23.- Use the mini glue dots on the bottom side behind the hat to put onto the white piece that has the text.
You need to print the text on a piece of Whisper White cardstock , then you need to cut it to 3 3/4"x 5 1/8" (9.5cm x 13cm). After that, cut a piece Black cardstock of 4"x 5 3/8" (10.2cm x 13.6cm). Then, glue them together.  As shown below.
24.-Your card invitation is ready. It's very easy to do, right?
I hope you liked it!! With the same steps you could make a Mickey Mouse invitations, just change the colors and of course, dont put the bow on him.  lol!!
Well as you will see it easier than ever. Give it a try.
Enjoy it!!
